Lake Carmine

CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LAKE CARMINE
- Red powder – violet.
- Dispersible in oils and fats.
- Great capacity of powder staining.
- Insoluble in water.
- Soluble in alkaline solutions.
- Very stable to light and heat.
- Precipitates in media below pH: 4
- Commercial concentration between 50-60% carminic acid FCCII
Water-Soluble Carmine
Used in the food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry, our product is soluble in alkaline solutions.
- Calcium aluminum complex of carminic acid.
- It provides coloration in the range from red to violet.
- In its structure is added an alkali.
PHYSICAL-CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF WATER-SOLUBLE CARMINE
- Black powder
- Does not have powder staining power
- Soluble in water-soluble in alkaline solutions
- Very stable to light and heat
- Precipitates in media below pH: 4
- Commercial concentration of 50 to 60% of carminic acid FCC II.
